Hair with alterations (Trichology)
Tricholysis, stem alteration
We refer to stem alteration when we observe suffocated, inflamed hair with split ends and knots twisted around themselves.
Normally, as with damaged and brittle hair, this is the result of improper use of products, washing with excessively hot water above 37 degrees, which inflames the scalp and hair shaft, as well as irritating and dehydrating it, and the use of heat styling tools without protection.
The traction of our movements also causes our ends to split more easily and creates knots that break the hair. Finally, it suffers especially from external environmental aggressions that are very harmful to our hair, such as excessive sun, dry wind, pollution, etc.
For this reason, it is advisable to use shampoos with a pH between 5.8 and 5.9, which condition and nourish the hair, protect it from heat sources and provide total moisturising treatment.
