Areata alopecia
What is alopecia areata?
Alopecia areata is known for the presence of bald patches on the scalp, although they can also appear on the beard, eyebrows, etc. This would be total areata. If it affects the rest of the body hair, it is called universal areata. It can affect people of both sexes and all ages, although it is unusual in people under 20 years of age.
It appears suddenly in a specific area and can spread or appear in other nearby areas. It is characterised by its defined, rounded edges.
There are many causes, although it is now considered to be an autoimmune response of our body, with a certain genetic predisposition that can be triggered by various factors such as infections, glandular disorders and, in particular, we see how it develops after an episode of intense stress, nervousness or depression

Detection:
The first step is to detect and stop the progression of the patches. At Signed By Simone G., we have an effective treatment for the vast majority of cases, provided that it is detected in time. Total or universal alopecia areata is more difficult to treat. The cause is also very important in stopping its progression.
(Consult us to find out the condition of the root and the type of hair. We recommend taking the Hair Test).
